Summary: You got a crush on Logan while he is still overshadowed by Jean's death. The love journey between you two gets on a bumpy path.
1 year passed
Your parents back to Westchester to visit your quiverfull, of course they want you to come with them. You will stay in the hotel now in Westchester, weird this place used to be your home. Staying in a hotel while you have an actual home there is bizarre for you. One week off from school is supposed to bring peace for you yet it is not, because you go back to your hometown. You love that city so much, on the other hand your feeling jumbled remembering Logan. 1 year of living far away from Logan didn’t quite help to be fair, you still dream of him once in a while not often but he is still haunting your days. You felt guilty, blocking his number, all his socials which can connect you both. It’s a prevention act in your defense but you sure he must be confused with all of these dramas. The other plan you have in mind, you will visit Xavier school when Logan is out somewhere, Storm said she is willing to help you to snuck in without Logan knowing and that is perfect. No need to see him although you miss him dearly.
“Are you going to stay there honey?” your mom asked
“No mom, i’ll just come to say hi and go”
“You can take your time honey is alright but remember don’t get back too late okay”
“Yes that’s true, 9pm maximum okay?” your dad add
“Yup mom dad, thank you”
“You’re welcome baby”
All ready to go, preparing your thoughts and mind. Hoping Logan won’t get back too soon. As storm said, Logan usually will go to the club after teaching and back at 8pm. It is enough time to release your nostalgia there, you miss them all so much. You reached the front gate, seeing Professor Charles and Storm. They welcome and bring you inside.
“We miss you so much Y/N. You all grown up already, I mean you’ve grown up the day you left but this different Paris indeed change you sweetheart” Storm opening the topic
“In a good way or bad way storm?”
“Of course in a good way, are you kidding me”
Professor barged into the office, joining you and Storm
“Have you met all your friends Y/N?”
“Yes Professor, I met them all already”
“That’s good. That’s Logan necklace I see” professor remarked
“Oh yaa I still wear it. I want to give it back to him not directly,but through you guys”
“You sure. Don’t want to say hi at least to him?”
“No, I’m not sure about that. Better go before he gets back”
“I’m sorry Y/N if you heard everything that day. I didn’t know you were there plus I didn’t expect Logan to reacted that way”
“No it’s okay, that was the past. I'm alright”
“How are you feeling now, my child? Have you moved on yet?”
“I don’t know Professor, he still comes in my dream sometimes”
“You still love him and I think Logan feels the same to you, he just doesn’t know how to admit it. He’s a complicated guy you know it”
“No storm, Jean is still in him. I can’t change it”
“But Logan has not been himself since you left. Going to the club, drunk, he’s being a grouches like before and”
Suddenly, the door open panicked Hector shove to the room and stuttering
“L Logan’s here Y/N”
Damn it, he supposed to be here in 1 hour again
You panicked, gathering up your belongings to go back to the hotel through the backyard but it’s in vain. The moment you run to the door, he’s already there. Logan standing in front of the door, practically obstructs you from leaving the room. His face was furious, the fierceness in his eyes terrified you. You know he is mad, that’s why you don’t want to look him in the eyes. The two of you remain silent, so are Professor, Hector, and Storm.
“Why did you lie” he breaking the silence
“Why Y/N? Care to explain?” said him cold
“Logan, don’t be too harsh on her” Professor try to calm him down
Logan can’t hold it any longer, he grip your hand roughly and said “I need a moment with her” he dragged you out the the backyard
“Where are you going Lo?”
“Just follow me”
“But it hurts” you said winching, he idle not saying anything. Both of you stand in front of the lake
He stare at you, his stern look, heavy breathing depicted how much he really mad at you
“So start talking”
“What?”
“You left me, you remember? Everyone knew it except me. It hurts me a lot”
“Why you hurt? Students come and go Logan. It’s normal thing”
“It is not when it comes to you kid”
“Jeez, are you drunk?”
“Dissipate the cynical face you put there, I’m the one who is supposed to be annoyed here. Explain”
“You want me to explain? Alright I’ll explain now, I have had feelings for you alright since 2 years ago. This is embarrassing, it’s not that I am confessing it to you right now. You are still in love with Jean. I get that. That’s the reason why I need to go okay, it’s hard for me to see you that way and that day when I overheard your conversation with Storm, I got mad. I don't know why I got mad. I am so stupid I'm nobody to you but I just want to dump all my feelings for you…” you explain fast all of sudden your whole world clashes, he puts his lips onto yours. You want to pull out and reject it but your body says no. The two of you share a long deep kiss, finally both of you were pulled out in need of air.
You shocked, not knowing what to say instead of just holding your lips
“Please don’t” Logan exclaimed, “Did you manage to do it? Have you lost your feelings now?”
You silent, immersed in your own thought
“Y/N? I know im late. I am the asshole here. But I finally realized that I love you”
“No, you’re not just saying that. Take it back before you regret for saying it”
“I don’t and I won’t. I Love You”
“No Logan, you just frustrated you still love Jean”
“Yeah I was, it mixed with guilt and obsession. That’s why I behave like that, 1 month you left me I felt the same way. My mind wasn’t occupied by Jean anymore but you til today. You manage to make me crazy, you know that. I Love You kid. I was too afraid to admit the fact that I fell for you in the first place and now you’re here I won’t let you leave me again. I’m terribly sorry. You are not stupid. I am stupid, for letting you go and making you feel that way. Now, I’m asking you. Did you manage to dump your feelings on me?”
“Not at all Lo, 1 year passed I’m still the same Y/N whose head over heels over her teacher. I tried but I couldn't”
“So second chance for me kid?”
“Sure Mr. Howlett and this I give you back your dog tag”
He smile beaming, kissing you one more time, “I know you will be back to me”
“Was meant to say hi and go back actually but didn’t go as plan but I prefer it this way”
“You’re mine and promise me you won’t get back there”
“I promise, I’ll figure it out with my parents”
“I love you sweetheart, thank you”
“I love you too Logan”
You never expected your love story would blossom. The two broken pieces finally make it into one. Now it’s just You and Logan against the world.
